Software built on the floor, for the floor.
MyLTCApps started inside a single Kansas nursing home. After twenty years of watching clinical software fail on the floor, we sat down with the DON and asked one question: "what's wasting your staff's time?"
What came back wasn't clinical charting — those vendors were already locked in. It was everything else. Paper sign-in sheets. Clipboard checklists. Maintenance requests shouted down a hallway. Café tabs on a legal pad. Ten systems of record, none of them talking.
So we built a phone-width menu and put the most-used things in it. That menu is now used on every shift, every day, by every employee — and it's what the rest of the industry can now buy.
Three non-negotiables.
Phone-first, always.
Your staff's hands are full. Anything that takes more than three taps gets redesigned. Kiosk and desktop are secondary; the phone is the product.
Ship the unglamorous.
Nobody gives a conference talk about the café app. But sign-in sheets, ticket queues, and in-service attendance are where most of a shift actually goes. Build for that.
Small footprint. Big reach.
A focused set of apps beats a hundred half-built ones. We say no to feature requests every week. It keeps the thing coherent on a 6-inch screen.
Boring, proven tech. That's the point.
We don't use bleeding-edge anything in production. Your facility doesn't need a tech experiment — it needs software that works on the 3 AM shift.
See the apps on your own phone.
