SMS Opt-In (Call to Action)
Who can opt in
Only authorized employees and staff of long-term care facilities that license the MyLTCApps platform. MyLTCApps is not a public consumer product — there is no public sign-up. Employees receive an invitation from their facility administrator and are onboarded through a private login flow.
Where the opt-in lives
The Call to Action is presented inside the MyLTCApps onboarding wizard at https://myltcapps.com/welcome, which an employee reaches after their first successful login. Because this URL is behind authentication, a faithful preview of the screen is reproduced below for verification.

Stay informed with text alerts
Your facility uses SMS to keep you informed. Opt in to receive:
- 🍽️ Meal orders ready for pickup
- 📅 Open shifts needing coverage
- ⛈️ Weather and emergency alerts
- ✅ Task assignments and reminders
Exact disclosure text shown to every employee
"I agree to receive text messages from [Facility Name] at the number above. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of employment. See our Privacy Policy and Terms."
What we capture at the moment of consent
When an employee checks the consent box and submits the form, MyLTCApps records on their user account:
- Mobile phone number (E.164 format)
- Timestamp of consent (UTC)
- Client IP address (captured server-side from request headers)
- Browser/device user-agent string
- The version of the disclosure agreed to
This audit trail is available to satisfy carrier dispute responses.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies and is event-driven. A typical user receives between zero and ten messages per week.

Message and data rates may apply. Standard text-message and data charges from your mobile carrier may apply to each message sent or received.
How to opt out
Reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) to any message, or toggle SMS off in My Account inside the app.
